Eye of the Tiger – A Rock Opera

“Eye of the Tiger – A Rock Opera” was written by Cynthia Clack, who also wrote the lyrics to all of the songs in the show. The music was written by Randall Shafer. The World Premier of “Eye of the Tiger” was on July 22, 2005 at the Globe of the Great Southwest Theater in Odessa,Texas. On July 27, 2006, and again on February 1, 2007, Cynthia Clack received a formal invitation from the Chinese government to perform the rock opera in China in 2007 for more than eight times in Beijing, Shanghai and three or four other major cities in China. Unfortunately, it became logistically impossible for the show to travel internationally at that time, and the tremendous opportunity was missed.

It was the end of a great war as two soul mates looked down on Earth, witnessing the vast destruction and emptiness. Much of the world had forgotten about music and justice, but He and She vowed they would come to Earth to help the people remember. How would they find each other on Earth? “Listen to the music; I will write you love letters,” He promised.

This is the compelling saga of two eternal lovers in their struggles to reunite and to help their world. At times it seems that even Her angels cannot succeed in guiding them back together. But their eternal love cannot be separated by continents, fame, murders, corruption or strife.

“Eye of the Tiger – A Rock Opera” is based on the true story, as told in The Other Side of Life – An Angel’s Story, of two people who’ve yet to meet, and who share a common purpose in seeking justice on a local and international scale, confirming that music can heal the hearts and souls of mankind.
